Lucas Physical Therapy?

Our Physical Therapists specialize in improving human movement and function. When pain, injury, disease or surgery lead to loss of movement and function Lucas Physical Therapy can help. Only licensed Physical Therapists or Physical Therapy Assistants have the training and expertise to perform skilled Physical Therapy.

Who should come and see us?

Our Physical Therapists specialize in treating problems with the muscular, articular (joints) and neurological systems. Anyone suffering from pain, difficulty moving or loss of function should consult with us. This is especially true if you have failed to improve with rest, medication, another physical therapist or surgery.

Are all Physical Therapists the same?

All Physical Therapists licensed by the state of California have the expertise to assess and treat a variety or musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. However, as with most medical fields Physical Therapists can do additional training and fellowships in specialty areas. Roland Lucas PT MPhysio FAAOMPT has undertaken 2 and 1/2 years of full-time training in addition to Physical Therapy school in the specialty areas of Sports Medicine, Orthopedics and Manual Therapy. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. There are very few Physical Therapists in the US that have achieved the same level of specialized training as Roland. This additional training give Roland a wider, more successful range of treatment options when compared to most physical therapists.
